Scandinavian Callook Classic - Just North of Insanity [Joachim.Naess]
Klutch is proud to present images from this year’s SCC held at Gardermoen Raceway in Norway. A little out of the ordinary from what we usually show you guys here, and we’re not sure how well SCC is known on the international scene. We’re sure some of you have heard of it though, seeing as people visit the show from all over the world. You’ll find Belgians, Germans, Englishmen and even people from the USA make the trip.

If you’ve never heard of the show and the pictures taken by Joachim Naess aren’t enough to make you understand why some 2000 people and nearly 1000 cars make the trip to watch old beetles and buses dragrace for a weekend, we’ll give you a little more insight.

SCC is a true home brewed car show with a huge amount of hospitality, great cars, partying in the evening, the smell of trackbite in the morning, serious racing during the day and so laidback it’s sure to be a winner whether you like air-cooled Volkswagen's or not.

SCC, just north of insanity they say, and we here at the Klutch team have to agree. Turboed beetles with 1000 bhp are just that – Insane! The new world record quarter mile time for a stock pan beetle streetcar at 8.60 is just that – Insane! Fishing a Samba bus out of a lake after decades under water and making it drivable is just that. 272 km/h in a Beetle is just that – Insane. We could go on and talk about the wheelies, the cracked-in two-transmissions, the highest portable flag pole-competition or whatever the SCC’ers do when they get together, but you get the idea. SCC, quite insane and great fun!
