Seeing a car progress through years of different stages and styles can definitely keep one entertained. First seeing this car at Scooter’s GTG, a local season-opener for the Midwest a couple years back, Joe’s Honda s2000 was situated on a set of Corvette sawblades painted to match the car. I immediately was drawn to this car with its freshly shaved bay, and a very subtle, yet inspiring display of custom bent line, which I soon discovered was done by Joe himself. As the year passed, Joe yet again came out with all guns blazing as he presented us the same S2k on a very sleek set of Lamborghini wheels, and what a sight that was! After another year, Joe’s gears kept turning, and we’ve come to where the car is today.
Sitting on a staggered set of color-matched Forgeline SX3R’s at 18”x11” in the rear, and 18”x8.5” in the front, Joe’s S2k makes a lasting impression. Outside of the vehicle, the front and rear bumpers, as well as the trunk have been shaved. This car has seriously had its fair share of attention, and it’s quite apparent that each and every item has had a once-over to bring it up to Joe’s standards.
When we took the car out, I couldn’t help but to smile. This thing is definitely a joy to ride in. Sure, a stock s2000 may have enough ponies under the hood for some people; but Joe took it a step further when he introduced the car to boost. I remember on our way back, I looked down at the speedometer, looked up for a brief second, and looked back down and I was astounded at how quickly the car ran through the gears.
One thing is for certain; this car is definitely a head-turner. As we cruised up the highway, we got our fair share of attention. I can’t wait for next season, as I’m sure Joe will yet again have something up his sleeve. I can’t imagine what ideas Joe will come up with next, but I’m sure it will be a good mixture of outrageous, tasteful, and something that’s never been done before. A big shout-out goes to the Milwaukee’s Best crew, Seen It!, Rawsomotion, as well as the rest of the Midwest car scene. This car has come a long way and without the help from some locals, this would not be possible!
